We could work on Stellaris on now until forever to fix every bug imaginable, and there would still be a typo in a tooltip somewhere. However, you can opt in to "crossplay_rollback" to continue your 2.6.2 games :). When certain critical game files are corrupted or missing, the game is very likely to crash or fail to launch. I can now go back in to the launcher.temp folder, copy and paste everything there, open up the launcher-v2.2020.3.1 directory and paste everything there, replacing all files. Then, type “appwiz.cpl” and press Enter to open up Programs and Features. Also make sure (in the game's folder) to rename the steam_api64.dll to steam_api64_o.dll and copy over the cream_api.ini you edited and the steam_api64.dll from the CreamAPI download into the game's folder. I tried to come back to Stellaris after a bit of a hiatus, and it tried to install the new Paradox Launcher.
